Binibining Pilipinas 2020 • Top 11 Favourite

Binibining Pilipinas 2020 will be the 57th annual edition of Miss Universe Philippines. The date of the event are to be announced soon. So here is my Top 11 favourite.


  1. Maureen Montagne of Batangas, 27


Stands at 1.70m (5ft 7in), Maureen has competed in several pageants and won Miss Arizona USA 2015, Miss USA 2015 (Top 15), Miss World America 2017 (1st Runner-up), Miss World Philippines 2018 (1st Runner-up) and Miss Eco Philippines 2019. She is American-Filipino.


  1. Samantha Bernardo of Palawan, 27


Samantha stands at 1.73m (5ft 8in). She competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and finish as 2nd Runner-up and received a special award (Reader's Choice). She compete again this year after lose to Catriona Gray in 2018.


  1. Vickie Rushton of Negros Occidental, 28


Vickie Rushton is a Filipino actress and model who was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas - International 2011. She then competed Binibining Pilipinas 2018 (1st Runner-up) and Binibining Pilipinas 2019 but finish at Top 15. Among 40 contestants competing this year, Vickie which stands at 1.68m (5ft 6in), she is the fan favourite by social media.


  1. Vianca Louise Marcelo of Malolos City, Bulacan, 25


Vianca participated in Miss World Philippines 2015 where she represented the province of Bulacan. Viance who stands 1.70m (5ft 7in) is graduate from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde.


  1. Hazel Joy Ortiz of Pasig City, 24


Hazel is currently works as fitness instructor and professional model. She is co-owner of online clothing business and fitness centre. This 24 year-old stands 1.72m (5ft 8in).


  1. Hannah Arnold of Masbate, 24


Born Australian-Filipina who grew up in Canberra, Hannah is 1.78m (5ft 10in) height. As a kid, she loved dancing ballet. Hannah has a degree in Applied Science in Forensic Studies from the University of Canberra. At the age of 18, she won Miss Philippines Charity Queen 2014.


  1. Gabrielle Basiano of Borongan City, Eastern Samar, 22


At the age of 21, Gabrielle represent Philippines at the Miss Friendship International 2019 that was held in China. She has been starting modelling and pageant since the age of 17 where she won Miss Asian Development Foundation College. In 2018, she advanced to the Top 15 in Miss Earth Philippines 2018. 


  1. Carina Cariño of La Union, 22


This beauty hails from La Union stands 1.73m (5ft 8in), a fresh graduate student of Applied Economics from DLSU-Manila. She joined Miss Millennial Philippines 2017 ended as 1st Runner-up.


  1. Francesca Taruc of Angeles City, Pampanga, 21


As a model and vlogger, Francesca Taruc is not new in pageant world as she crowned Miss Tourism World Intercontinental 2019 in Nanjing, China. She was awarded Best Body during the preliminary round of the pageant.


  1. Honey Cartasano of Antipolo City, Rizal, 26


Honey working as a corporate secretary for an attorney in a law firm. Stands tall with height 1.70m (5ft 7in). She associated with various charity programmes for children’s health and education in the Philippines. In Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018, she was in the Top 25 and 4th Runner-up in Miss Toyota Alabang 2019.


  1. Rowena Sasuluya of Guiguinto, Bulacan, 25


Also known as Rowee Lucero, she is the first runner-up in Miss Global Philippines 2017. Rowena is a licensed teacher in social studies and stands 1.65m (5ft 5in). She gained her popularity on Instagram with 90k followers. Rowee is a half Bhuddist.

Miss pun tergerak hati juga nak jawab soalan ni memandangkan ramai budak-budak sekarang yg nak sambung study ‘confused’ dengan ‘title’ ni. Ramai juga yang tertanya-tanya apakah beza ‘Ijazah Sarjana Muda’ dan ‘Sarjana Muda’? “Kenapa kos saya takde title ‘Ijazah’ sedangkan kat IPTA/S lain ada?” [Gambar hiasan] So, begini. Ia bergantung kepada IPTA/S itu sendiri. Actually tiada perbezaan di antara kedua-duanya. Miss pun student dkt Universiti Malaya dan kursus Miss ‘Sarjana Muda dot dot dot..” takde tulis Ijazah. Ijazah tu adalah skroll yang diterima semasa istiadat atau majlis konvokesyen. Jadi tak salah kalau IPTA/S taknak letak ‘Ijazah’ kat depan kursus. What important is your course. So adik-adik yang nak mohon masuk IPTA/S melalui UPU tu tak payah confused dah ya. Jangan pening ya adik-adik. Relax hehe.  By the way, tu jela kahkahkah. Miss doakan adik-adik berjaya suatu hari nanti. Tak masuk universiti pun takpe dik. Mungkin rezeki kita kat tempat lain. Okay bye
